Padang Matsirat is a much more quiet area compared to the idyllic beaches and Kuah town. While there are no major modern shopping malls within the vicinity, you can still shop till you drop at other outlets namely the airport, Atma Alam Batik Village and Teow Soon Huat store.

The majestic eagle poised for flight in Eagle Square is located in the modern and vibrant Kuah town. For the nightlife scene in Kuah, perhaps ‘mild’ is the best word to describe the nightspots within the town.

There are a handful of chic bars in Pantai Kok but less popular compared to bars and bistros in Pantai Cenang and Pantai Tengah. Patrons in the bars and restaurants here are usually expats and yachtsmen who spend their lives on the boats at the marina.
